Women in Transport

Women in Transport is a non-profit network with a mission to advance women working in the transport industry.

Founded 15 years ago, Women in Transport support the professional development of women working in the transport sector. This is achieved through networking, events, mentoring and campaigning for gender balance through the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Women.

Both men and women are welcome to join, and the group believe that by working together we can promote a diverse and strong transport workforce that supports UK growth.

Women in Transport focuses specifically on the employment, career advancement and retention of women within the transport industry. There are many benefits to membership:

  • Build networks, contacts, and relationships with like-minded professionals.
  • Develop your knowledge and skills at professional development workshops and technical talks.
  • Profile raising though volunteering, blogging, and networking opportunities with industry leaders.
  • Unique experiences and behind the scenes tours of transport related sites.

Whats next?

In 2021 a Scotland Hub was launched, with sponsorship from Transport Scotland, Network Rail and Momentum Transport Consultancy. It aims to identify barriers to success, showcase regional talent and partner with like-minded organisations to equip the workforce with the ability to design the transport solutions of tomorrow.
