Founder Aldin Wilson has spent his career in transport, for both the British Army and commercial businesses. He realised the transport systems, management and communication processes were poor, with many vehicles not being properly utilised.
Trapar believes that by making it seamless to plan, book, and pay for transport, more people will be encouraged to book group transport and reduce the number of single-occupant cars on our roads.
Its first commercial product will be a digital channel allowing users to plan, book and pay for electric/hydrogen coach transport, meeting their personal needs. The platform will provide a full spectrum of quotes and options for a wide range of services.
Trapar’s growth plans include expanding the personal hire digital channel to encompass day tours, car sharing, cycle hire, ticketing, and fleet share, amongst many other services.
In 2021 Trapar was accepted onto the Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc accelerator programme. This programme supercharges environmentally conscious start-ups.
