Scottish-based loveelectric was started by husband and wife Steve and Lyndsey Tigar. It exists to make electric vehicles affordable and accessible for everyone. Love Electric care deeply about its responsibility to the environment and believes that business can be a force for good.
loveelectric’s car scheme operates in the same way as the popular bike-to-work scheme. As an employee, you sacrifice a small portion of your salary in return for a new electric car, typically saving 50 per cent of your annual motor costs through income tax and national insurance savings.
loveelectric are BCorp accredited, meaning its commitment to its people and the planet is enshrined in the company’s legal structure and scrutinised by independent auditors every year.
loveelectric is inspired by Gen Z’s passion for the environment and are striving to create as many employment opportunities for 16-24 year olds. This is the generation which has been most detrimentally affected by the pandemic, and many of whom are extremely passionate about tackling the climate crisis.
