Flock Mobility originally built a MaaS platform offering 3rd party shared transport options for the last mile of scheduled transport journeys. This was successfully deployed alongside partners such as Uber, Gett, GTR Rail and National Express Coaches. It soon became clear that Flock Mobility required more control over the customer experience and a request from a large corporate customer provided the perfect opportunity to pivot.

Its technology platform offers a range of sharing options including a dynamic ‘door to door’ commute service, guest ride service, and self-drive bookings. These can all be managed via the self-service app. It offers the complete ‘transport-as-a-service’ solution (including electric vehicles, professional drivers, charging infrastructure and software) or alternatively the ‘software-as-a-service’ element only.

Early-stage pilots have demonstrated an average of 18-20 active commuter subscriptions per week per EV, each resulting in the removal of an average of 13-15 single occupancy private vehicles from the road.
