Emergency One was established in 1989 in the Scottish town of Cumnock. The company’s growth has been predicated on the adherence to a steady and measured expansion year on year, recognising the importance of its people, build quality, reliability, and on-time delivery.
Today the company is the UK’s leading manufacturer of specialist Fire and Rescue Service appliances, along with a growing export presence worldwide.
It is committed to contributing to a low carbon economy, recognising that its Fire and Rescue Service customers need to reduce their appliance fleet emissions and carbon footprint.
It designed a low-emission fire vehicle, ensuring it was not a hybrid vehicle, concept truck, or one with limited range and operational performance, but rather a next-generation solution that builds on the current features of today’s diesel-fuelled fire appliances.
In December 2017 the company secured an additional facility which will be used for fire engineering and development. Emergency One is now focused on further developing its electric fire appliances and zero emissions technology, as well as expanding and growing the business into further export territories.
