Bounc-e’s founders have backgrounds in electricity generation, transmission of infrastructure, motor retailing industry, and consulting. The seed company Blackhall & Powis is based around renewable energy, primarily in Scotland. They identified a gap in the market and pooled their resources and expertise to pursue the opportunity.
It is in the process of assembling a EV one-stop-shop for manufacturers and customers which will be supported by an app. There will be a multitude of innovative features such as live tracking, mapping, and surge pricing. It will include a model that will support one-way journeys, rather than return to base.
It will offer domestic and commercial charging infrastructure, removing the anxiety that exists around charging and tailored to the specific demands of the customer.
The next five years will be crucial for Bounc-e, and as an independent they have the advantage of being reactive in this fast-moving industry. By offering a unique take on the demands of EV users they can positively disrupt this space.
