Founded in 1997, and floated successfully on AIM in March 2021, AMTE Power is a producer of high-quality lithium-ion batteries across a range of markets including:
AMTE Power has developed energy and power cells based on lithium-ion for automotive and aerospace, and energy storage cells based on both lithium and new sodium-ion chemistry.
It is launching a series of next generation products based on new chemistries and cell structures that are designed to solve key problems in power delivery, energy performance, and safety.
These next generation products are developed to support markets where power, safety and challenging environments need new battery chemistries and cell performance.
AMTE Power is developing and producing cells in its small-scale manufacturing plant in Thurso and continues to develop new chemistries to provide updated product lines. It is taking these products to market and scaling up, with plans for a Gigafactory in 2025.
